Sinalo Jafta may have been part of a history-making Proteas women’s team that became the first senior South African cricket team to reach a World Cup final, but the road getting there was far from simple.Jafta had spent two months in a rehabilitation facility between October and December. While she was working her way back to fitness to take part in January’s T20 Tri-Series with India and the West Indies, the final squad selection for the World Cup saw former captain and gun all-rounder, Dane van Niekerk, not making the cut.
